REFLEXIVITY OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIOLOGICAL THEORY: FROM ITS ORIGINS TO THE PROSPECTS

Abstract
The article describes the historical background of theoretical reflection as an integral element of sociological knowledge. The emergence of reflective elements in sociological knowledge associated with the crisis of positivist sociology and the development of alternative methods of studying social phenomena, proposed in phenomenological tradition and interpretive sociology. For an example of the concepts of reflexive sociology of A. Gouldner and P. Bourdieu analyzed prospects of the application of reflection in contemporary sociological theory.
