The uncovering of the meaning of life in the modern positive psychology is seen as a very important positive quality of the person. The article presents the results of research on psychometric indicators of the Russian version of the test «Meaning in Life Questionnaire» (MLQ). We used standard psychometric procedures for checking these parameters. Assessed retest reliability of the test and its validity (by analyzing correlations with contrasted and similar parameters), as well as an analysis of several indicators of internal consistency. Overall, the results of the study showed high retest reliability of the Russian version of the test «Meaning in Life Questionnaire» (MLQ) (total scale and subscales of Presence and Search), its quite good internal consistency (as well as for the total scale and for subscales), provide an opportunity to talk about the validity of separate integral indicators of the test (total scale and subscale of Presence) (in this case, subscale of Search validity was not found). It is assumed that the presented version of the test can be used in the work with Russian-speaking examinees in scientific psychological research, and in the work of psychologists-practitioners and psychotherapists focused on positive psychology, existential psychotherapy, personal growth of the client.
