Abstract
The article presents the results of the study due to the risk of addiction and the predominant type of psychological protection as an important practice for the construction of self-psychological safety of the person. It contains a theoretical analysis of the basic concepts of risk and psychological protection. The empirical part of the study realized on a sample of adolescents, involving questionnaire Plutchika-Kellermann-Comté "Diagnosis typologies of psychological defense" and risk appetite questionnaire A.G. Shmelev. As a result, confirmed the association tendency of adolescents to risk and the type of dominant for them type of psychological protection.
