THE PROBLEM OF THE FORMATION OF NATIONAL IDENTITY IN SECONDARY AND UNIVERSITY EDUCATION (IN RESEARCH OF K.Y.GROT)

Abstract
The paper considers the views of professor of the Warsaw Imperial University, academician K.Y. Grot on the problem of the formation of national identity in secondary and university education. In his opinion teaching of Slavic Studies was an important factor in this process. The publication expands the problem field of study of the theoretical foundations of the educational activities of Russian Universities XIX – early XX centuries.
