Abstract
This article is devoted to the organization of the activities of the artisan class in Ishim city College, as part of initial vocational education and labor education of students in the late XIX - early XX centuries. The publication examines the history of creation, the formation of the artisan class in the school in the analyzed period. The opening of the class, labour training and education of students in the school contributed to the initiative of the city government. The focus is on the improvement of normative and material-technical base of the artisan class.
