Abstract
The article presents a methodology for learning design information systems in the course "Information technologies in management". The algorithm of teaching: a small business case, problem statement, description of use cases in UML, the discussion of logical and physical models, development of a simple system in MS Access, demonstration systems, independent work on the review of existing systems based on Internet sources.
