Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of female education in the Packaging. Thanks to the opinion of Alexander II, the Ministry of public education in the second half of the 50-ies of the XIX century started opening of female schools. This process also affected the Tobolsk province. A significant role in the opening of female schools belongs P.P. Ershov, Director of the schools of the province. Female school in the Packaging was opened one of the first in the region.
