IMPACT OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY ON TEACHING IN UK HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract
The article examines the role of national identity discourses in UK higher education, characterized by multiethnic and multinational audiences. The authors use real-life examples to uncover the complexity of cross-cultural negotiations rooted in individual life experiences. The article argues that such “differences” impact the education in many ways, and that cultural conventions should be accounted for in contemporary teaching and communication practices.
