COPING WITH DIFFICULT SITUATIONS BY MILITARY: A GENDER PERSPECTIVE

Abstract
The article examines different types of coping behavior of military men and women. Revealed the existence of certain differences: the predominance of strategies to solve problems at the military men and the search strategies of social support, avoidance of problems and distancing women. In addition, military personnel, women use adaptive emotional coping strategies more often than men. Men dominate the cognitive and behavioral adaptive coping strategies.
