Abstract
This article proves the necessity of working out the methodology of operative diagnostics of institutional phenomena of society, theoretical and methodological basis of which is the conception of the institutional system of society. The authors also concretize the stages of working out the methodology of sociological diagnostics, paying special attention to the procedural features of its realization and interpretation of getting information about society.
