Abstract
In the article an interdisciplinary category “urban subculture” was analyzed as a specific community functioning within large modern cities and formed under the influence of widespread technologization, informatization and globalization. Its values, lifestyle and communication environment, which determine ways and forms of its activity, were examined as basic elements of urban subculture.
